Parallel ATA (IDE)

Parallel ATA som det numera heter för att undvika förvirring kring det nyare gränssnittet SATA (Serial ATA). Tidigare kallades det bara ATA.

Används framförallt för att ansluta hårddiskar och optiska enheter internt i datorn.
